Having lived my entire life in colonised countries, a similar pattern emerges. That the indigenous people of those lands have lower quality of life than other ethnicities. I think a conversation needs to happen as to why this is, and how can we change so that the first people are no longer marginalised and enjoy the same standard of living and acceptance as any other demographic.
