We are often told by older generations about “the good old days”, when people had manners, men were chivalrous, times were simpler. Maybe so but I think that “the good old days” is a bit of a myth. What was it like then for women's, LGBTQ, people of colours rights? For poor people? I feel we are constantly evolving and I would say we are less sexist, racist and homophobic than ever in our existence so don’t lament the good old days, celebrate where we have come and are going to because possibly the opposite is true.
